RISO MIXTAPE WORKSHOP
Create a custom mixtape and design your own Cover Art and CD in this riso analog workshop. You’ll learn the basics of the risograph analog process while working with a 2-color palette (mint + fluorescent pink). You’ll also get to pick and curate 5 to 8 songs to put inside the CD that you can openly listen to during the class. This workshop is beginner-friendly and all materials are provided. You’ll take home: A Jewel CD case with your printed Riso Cover Art and a CD with 5 to 8 songs saved inside.
Feel free to bring your own printed photos and stickers to personalize your design.
Instructors:
Pau Tiu has been producing Visual Identities for Filipino musicians for a decade. Finding the intersection between music and visual arts, Tiu’s practice revolves around creating art direction, album concept, cover art, merch design and product design for CDs, cassettes, & vinyls. Within this diverse art practice, Tiu has also directed editorial photoshoots, music videos and short films.
Felize Camille is one of the co-owners of Bad Student NY and has existed between being a creative and an educator. Art and design have always been tools for connection and allowed Felize to build spaces where people from different backgrounds to come together. She has worked in the arts, education, non-profit and tech.
