‘Bahay ni Buchi’ is a small collection of photographs of Victoria grandmother’s home in Manila. Victoria began documenting the home because of the hilarious juxtaposition of religious artifacts with her grandmother’s everyday objects. The home is adorned with rosaries and crucifixes, intermixed with decor and art from a lifetime of collecting. This zine is a love letter to her grandmother’s unmistakable style and an interrogation of what altars we build in our own homes. ‘Bahay ni Buchi’ is her second zine with Bad Student.
